1. Zero Tracking Cookies

Smaran does NOT use tracking cookies, behavioral tracking pixels, advertising identifiers, or third-party web beacons. When accessing our services, no profiling cookies are set.

2. Strictly Functional Technical Storage

In full compliance with Article 5(3) of the European Union ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC) and UK PECR:

• SQLite Database (reminder_platform_v1.db): Stores your personal user profile identity (name and cultural honorific "Ji" in the user_profile table), medication schedules, and reminder task logs locally on your hardware.
• SharedPreferences / LocalStorage: Remembers your fast user profile cache, theme preference (Dark/Light), sound and vibration preferences, and accessibility/elderly mode settings.
• IndexedDB & Service Worker (Web PWA): Enables instant offline caching and local web app installation without server round-trips.

3. User Control & Data Clearing

You can purge all client-side storage at any time via Settings > Data Storage & Privacy Reality > Wipe All Local Data.
