Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) & Erasure Procedure

1. Self-Service Instant Erasure

Because Smaran operates 100% locally on your hardware, you do not need to submit written requests or wait 30 days. You have instantaneous control:

1Open Settings

Navigate to the Settings tab in the Smaran bottom navigation or slide-in drawer.

2Locate Privacy Reality Section

Scroll down to the Data Storage & Privacy Reality section.

3Execute 1-Tap Erasure

Tap Wipe All Local Data and confirm the warning dialog. All local SQLite database tables (including user_profile, reminders, reminder_instances, reminder_history, and family_members) and all local configuration caches are immediately and irreversibly purged from your device, resetting the application to its initial onboarding state.

2. Complete Data Access & In-App Rectification

All stored personal identifiers and schedule data are under your immediate control:

User Profile & Display Name: View and update your stored name and cultural honorific anytime in Settings > Personal Identity > Edit Name.
Reminders & Schedules: Inspect, edit, reschedule, or delete individual routines directly on the Dashboard, Calendar, and Timeline screens without restriction.
